Confidence is 🔑

con·fi·dence

/ˈkänfədəns/

a feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities.

You either have it or you don’t, right? Wrong. Confidence is not that black and white. On some days or in certain instances, your confidence might be through the roof, like borderline cocky or arrogant some might say. Then, in other instances, your confidence can plummet because life hits you fast! You experience tragedies, misfortunes, and sometimes failures. As I reflect on what it means to possess confidence, I can definitely attest that for me, my confidence is not a constant, it is ever changing. In general, I feel that I am a confident person, but I have doubted myself and still do sometimes, because I am human.

That said, this week I had the privilege of discussing the topic of confidence with a close friend and how our confidence has shifted from when we were teenagers to what it looks like presently in our adult and womanhood. Please check out the Own Your Pretty Podcast hosted by Kellee B., as we dive into this topic! Don’t forget to subscribe to stay up-to-date on the lunch-time listens posted each week!
